About Pastor Butler
Pastor Butler is an inspiring servant of God whose ministry spans more than three decades. His spiritual journey began at age twelve when he was baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit at The Pentecostal Deliverance Church. Under the leadership of Apostle James E. Lee, he grew faithfully in the ministry and developed a deep love for God’s Word.
In 1994, Pastor Butler helped establish The Greater Faith Baptist Church. His commitment to the work of the Kingdom led to his ordination as a deacon in June 1998. Six years later, he accepted his call into the preaching ministry and was licensed in May 2005. During this season, he and his wife invested heavily in developing young people, witnessing God transform the lives of countless youth and families.
In April 2006, Pastor Butler was called to The Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as Youth Minister. After his ordination in June 2008, he also served as an assistant under Pastor Jarrod S. Parker. His leadership included directing Youth Empowerment Ministries, overseeing Friday Night Mentoring, and guiding Young Adult Development for ages 21–35.
In November 2023, Pastor Butler accepted the call to serve as Pastor of Temple Baptist Church. With a heart for people and a commitment to sound biblical teaching, he continues to lead with grace, vision, and a passion for spiritual growth. He is a graduate of The Quad Cities Theological Seminary School in Davenport, Iowa, and has preached numerous revivals and ministry engagements across the region. He is known for his ability to connect with people of all ages.
Pastor Butler has been joyfully married for 32 years to Lady Lisa Butler. Together, they have three adult children and three beautiful grandchildren.
